2 cups pecan halves 2 sticks + 1.5 tablespoons unsalted butter 2 1/4 cups flour 2 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 cup dark brown sugar 1/2 cup sugar 2 teaspoons vanilla 2 eggs Steps 1. Chop 1.5 cups of the pecans and add to a hot pan with 1.5 tablespoon butter and mix until butter is melted and pecans are coated 2. Mix all other ingredients together except for the remaining unchopped pecans 3. Add pecans from the pan and mix into the dough 4. Put mixture covered into the freezer for 30 minutes 5. Preheat oven to 375 degrees 6. Scoop tablespoon sized portions of the dough and press a pecan half on top of it 7. Bake for about 15 minutes
