2 1/4 cups flour 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda 2 teaspoon ground ginger 1 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg 3/4 cup room temp salted butter 3/4 cup brown sugar 1/4 cup molasses 1 egg 2 teaspoons vanilla 1/4 cup sugar Steps 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees 2. Mix all ingredients together (for a more gingerbread than molasses flavor, add more of the ground ginger, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg) 3. Form small balls of dough and place on cookie sheet 4. Place in the oven for about 10 minutes 5. Take out and immediately sprinkle more granulated sugar on top as they cool
